Vacuum Chambre

Over time B. Rustfrit stål A/S have developed good skills in both vacuum technology and production of cryostats. Currently we cooperate with a customer on the development of a cryostat for an HTS magnet.

In cooperation with international enterprises as well as the University of Aarhus, we have developed and produced a wide range of vacuum chambers in different sizes and shapes for different particle accelerators worldwide.

We've worked with chambers in size from Ø16 pipe to 2 ½ m in diameter and as a partner in the Innovac project we have developed a special chamber of 1 mm. plate of size 160x55 mm. oval tube with a shelf life of up to 1 ½ bar external pressure.

Through our customers we have supplied various vacuum chambers including an Electrostatic Analyzer plants and a Syncrotron Booster Power plant.

By continuous product development we have developed and implemented new processes for the manufacturing of vacuum chambers in stainless steel, which has ensured our customers a high-quality product that fully meets the requirements for mechanical strength and stability, density and purity in each chamber.

We possess the skills and capabilities to manage the entire production process, from advice at the design phase, laser cutting in both 2D and 3D machining and certificate welding through assembly, ultrasonic washing and leak testing. We work with a pressure test chamber by up to 6 bar gauge, and we have equipment for leak testing with helium to 10 at minus12.
